The Fed Isn't Hiking, Kings. Someone Please Tell PredictIt.

Powell's out here practically begging to cut and PredictIt has rate HIKE odds at 40%. We're backing up the truck.

Labor Day weekend, the S&P is ripping, and every Fed watcher on CNBC has spent the last two weeks arguing about how big the September cut is going to be. So naturally, PredictIt is out here pricing a rate HIKE at 40%. Cool cool cool.

We've got three fades today. One of them might be the softest line we've seen all month.

Will a majority of the Fed vote to raise rates by Sept. 16?

Market says 40% chance the Fed HIKES. Our model says 5%. That's not an edge, that's a crime scene.

We're taking NO at 60¢. S-grade, the AI basically had a stroke over this one.

Here's the thing: fed funds futures are pricing in cuts. Powell's Jackson Hole speech was dovish. Every governor who's spoken publicly is either neutral or leaning easier. The path to a September HIKE requires a CPI print that looks like 2022 all over again, and we already got August data.

What kills it? PredictIt resolution weirdness — these Fed markets sometimes hinge on obscure language about "majority votes" and thin volume means you might not be able to exit if something wild happens. But at 60¢ for something that should be trading at 95¢? Send it.

Will the Democratic candidate win NY-14 by 65% or more?

AOC's district. Market has the 65%+ blowout at 37%. We've got it closer to 22%.

We're on NO at 63¢. A-grade.

AOC wins NY-14. That's not the question. The question is whether she cracks a 65-point margin, and historically she wins by 40 to 50 points, not 65. That's a real gap. A 65-point margin means her opponent gets like 17% of the vote — in a district with actual Republicans and third-party candidates who always scrape together a few percent.

The market is pricing "AOC is popular" and forgetting to check what the actual number needs to be.

What kills it? Low turnout in a midterm can inflate margins in safe blue districts, and if the GOP basically no-shows the race, weird things happen. But 63¢ is generous for a threshold she rarely hits.

Will MrBeast hit 139 billion views by August 31?

Two days left. Market has it at 25%. We say 10%.

We're on NO at 75¢. A-grade.

This one's simple: if he were close, we'd know. Someone would be tweeting the counter every hour. The fact that nobody's screaming about it means the number isn't there yet, and two days isn't enough to close a gap you can't see.

What kills it? Literally one viral video. MrBeast can do 500M views in a weekend if the algorithm feels frisky, and we're not going to pretend that's impossible. But probability-wise, 75¢ is still the play.

GL out there. Don't blow the mortgage on a Fed pivot — actually, do whatever you want, we're not your dad.
